Resizing that stays sharp
Cheap resizers drop pixels (jagged) or blur everything (soft). This one uses a Lanczos filter, the kind photo editors use for sharp downscaling, and works in premultiplied alpha so the edges of transparent GIFs blend cleanly instead of picking up a dark fringe. Height follows the width to keep the aspect ratio.
How do I resize a GIF without losing the animation?
Drop the GIF, type the new width and press Make it. Every frame is resized with the same filter and the timing is kept, so the animation plays exactly as before.
Will resizing make my GIF blurry?
Shrinking uses a sharp Lanczos filter with correct transparency handling, so edges stay crisp and transparent areas don’t get a dark outline. Making a GIF larger than its original always softens it a little.
Can I resize and compress at the same time?
Yes. The compression settings apply to the resized GIF, so you can make it narrower and keep it under a size limit in one go.
